Robo-Soldier to Patrol South Korean Border

South Korea has unveiled an armed robot that it says will able to detect and repel intruders along its heavily armed border with North Korea.

The so-called "Intelligent Surveillance and Guard Robot" uses visual and infra-red detection to distinguish between humans, trees, and vehicles, and can do so from 2.5 miles away during the day and about half that at night.

New Cell Phone Lets Parents Track Kids

Parents in South Korea will now be able to track their children by using a device in a new mobile phone that has been designed for kids.

  SK Telecom Co. began selling on Wednesday colorful cellphones with antennas that look like human ears and a built in tracker using the global positioning satellite (GPS) network.
